Our Employee of the Month for October is Valerie Gomez. Valerie is a Food and Beverage Supervisor in our Grill and Snack Bar at Glenwood Hot Springs Resort and has been here since June, 2022. Valerie is the perfect role model for other employees here at Glenwood Hot Springs. Above all else, she works very hard to supervise in a positive manner and has excellent customer service skills. The younger employees emulate Valerie’s work ethic. She is efficient, patient, and kind, even under pressure. Valerie continually demonstrates the abilities of a young leader, and she stands out among our employees because of her reliability and steady nature. Valerie says, “I enjoy working here because my co-workers make it a fun and enjoyable place to be. I love the managers because they are always so nice and make work easier. These two years of working here have taught me how to do things more efficiently and effectively. I’ve learned a lot in this job, and I hope I can learn more.”
Our Food and Beverage Manager, Dana Snyder, adds: “Valerie demonstrates ownership and integrity in her job responsibilities over and above 99% of employees that have ever worked for me. She will stay late if we don’t have enough staff to close, and she will come in early if we need more help to open. She does all of this on her own accord.”
