Toast New Year’s Eve in Glenwood Springs, Colorado

Soak in natural hot springs all day and into the New Year if you wish. Admission to Glenwood Hot Springs Pool is come-and-go as much as you please on the day of purchase, and no reservations are required. The pool has a wide range of family-friendly New Year’s Eve activities planned, starting at 7 p.m., and is open until 1 a.m. There’s also prizes for the competitions and rewards for locating Disney heroes that have gone missing on the property. New Year’s Eve activities are free to all paid pool guests.

7:00 p.m. – Handstand contest and ping pong scramble

8:00 p.m. – Biggest cannonball, best dive and duck relay

9:00 p.m. – Noodle relay and Marco Polo

10:00 p.m. – Alligator wrestling and Sharks & Minnows

Also, a special New Year’s Eve menu will be available from 4 – 10 p.m. at the poolside Grill. The menu includes pizza by the slice, hot dogs, chili dogs, bowls of chili, pretzels and cheese, nachos, chips, cookies, brownies, warm beverages, and soft drinks. Alcohol will not be served.

There’s no need to wait until evening to start celebrating thanks to the Glenwood Springs Community Center’s Noon Year’s Eve party. The event runs from 12-3 p.m. and features a New Year’s countdown and balloon drop at noon.

An aerialist, stilt walkers, Sventastic the one-man circus show, magicians, balloon animals, and face-painting fairies are among the fun as well as knights and a Renaissance-era royal court. All ages can enjoy ice skating, the climbing wall and swimming. Don’t forget to submit a New Year's resolution for a chance to win prizes.

Glenwood Springs Library

Head to the library for a fun-filled afternoon at the Toddler New Year’s Eve Party from 3-5 p.m. It’s the perfect way to celebrate the New Year with kids ages 1 to 5 with dancing, games, snacks, party hats, noisemakers and more. Tickets cost $16 per child, and one caregiver per child, family or group also must register. When the ball drops at 4 p.m., sparkling cider will be served to the kids. Dressing up in your New Year’s finest is encouraged but casual clothes or pajamas also are entirely acceptable.

Glenwood Vaudeville Revue

Glenwood Vaudeville Revue is a two-hour, family fun dinner theater show with professional talent performing a variety of comedy skits, jokes, high-energy dance numbers, songs, and original comedic presentations that are guaranteed to entertain. On New Year’s Eve there are 4:30 and 9 p.m. shows to choose from, and the theatre will be decked out with balloons, streamers, and other festive décor. A ticket includes a complimentary glass of champagne or sparkling cider and party favors for toasts at 8 p.m. or midnight. Other beverages and food items are a la carte, with meals prepared by many of the Glenwood Springs’ top restaurants.
