Soak all day at Glenwood Hot Springs Resort, then go out on the town for food, music, dancing, comedy and more!
Spend the daytime hours of your Colorado vacation soaking away stress in Glenwood’s most historic geothermal attraction—the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool. As the day comes to a close, mix things up with a night on the town. Glenwood Springs is becoming increasingly known for its dynamic restaurant, music and nightlife scenes.
Go Out for Dinner & Drinks
More so than ever, Glenwood Springs is becoming a destination for foodies. Indulge your appetite for interesting, mouthwatering bites with chef-prepared specialties, locally-sourced ingredients and creative menu offerings you won’t find elsewhere. Check out the dining choices along Seventh Street—known as Glenwood’s Restaurant Row—and throughout downtown for places that are within walking distance of the Glenwood Hot Springs Lodge and the Pool. Got a specific craving? Ask the front desk staff at the Lodge for recommendations.
Catch a Comedy Show
Take the whole crew out to the Glenwood Vaudeville Revue, a family-friendly comedy-variety show and a night-out staple for both residents and visitors alike. The two-hour show features a cast of professional talent who sing, dance and tell jokes throughout the evening. Every season features a new show with original content. In addition to the performance, you can also enjoy dinner served by the cheeky cast members themselves. Food is prepared and catered in by some of Glenwood’s most popular restaurants. If this is on your itinerary, be sure to make reservations.
Listen to a Little Night Music
There are so many ways to enjoy music in Glenwood Springs. On Tuesday evenings through Labor Day, linger at the Glenwood Hot Spring Pool for Sunset Sounds, weekly concerts that take place on the pool deck and feature talented local performers. Beginning in late June, on Wednesday nights for six weeks, featured artists from around the country play the Summer of Music at the bandshell in Two Rivers Park. Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park hosts regular Music on the Mountain concerts, bringing in both local and new bands to perform. Or, you can simply go out to dinner and listen to live music. The Hotel Colorado has live music every weekend in the Polo Lounge, or when the weather is warm enough in the courtyard. At the Riviera Super Club & Wine Bar the owner and other professional musicians play showtunes and classic rock and roll tunes on the piano set up in the dining room. Other venues also have regular music, including the Glenwood Springs Brew Garden and Rivers Restaurant.
Play Games, Dance & Sing
When you feel like busting a move on the dance floor, head over to KC’s Winghouse & Sports Bar where there’s live music weekly, in addition to karaoke, open mic night, Latin night and DJ-supported dance nights. The bar also has several billiards tables and a shuffleboard table if you’re up for a game. To play pool in an atmosphere steeped in Glenwood Springs history, try the Doc Holliday Saloon.
Soak Under the Stars
Of course, an all-time favorite activity to do at night in Glenwood Springs is to soak in the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool. Underwater lights illuminate the pool water and create a beautiful nightscape, while overhead the stars twinkle in an inky sky. The Glenwood Hot Springs Pool is open daily until 10 p.m. and is considered one of the best things to do at night in Glenwood Springs!
