Glenwood Hot Springs Resort’s Devereux Leadership Award winner for Fall, 2023 is Emily Neely. Emily serves as Lodge Housekeeping Supervisor and joined the Resort in July, 2021. The Devereux Leadership Award is presented to an employee who demonstrates exceptional leadership actions, accomplishments and behaviors that align with our vision, mission and values. Emily has a calm disposition and is always striving to make everyone better. She is always willing to look at areas where improvement is needed and brings positive feedback and meaningful content to meetings. She truly cares about guests’ experience and has shown she cares about her co-workers as well. Our Lodge Manager, Loretta Ayala says this about Emily: “Emily leads by example. She is a patient trainer and works alongside her team. Since her promotion to supervisor, the team works better together and also with the other departments. Emily’s attitude is always positive and she has proven over and over that she can perform under pressure. She is a team player that worked very hard to also obtain her lifeguard certification, helps with maintenance and always steps up and is willing to clean rooms or cover guest services. We are very happy to have Emily on our team!” At the Employee Appreciation Party, Emily was presented with a beautiful blown glass trophy, a framed certificate, a letter of appreciation from Chief Operating Officer Kevin Flohr, and a $250 check from Glenwood Hot Springs Resort.
