Glenwood Springs, Colorado (April 29, 2026) — Douglas Hayes has been named CEO of Glenwood Hot Springs Resort and is only the fifth person to serve in this role at the iconic Glenwood Springs attraction over the past 50 years.
Hayes brings a wealth of local hospitality experience through leadership roles at hotels across the Roaring Fork Valley. Most recently, he served as general manager of The Hoffmann Hotel and Hoffmann House Restaurant in Basalt, where he guided the hotel’s opening in early 2024 and led day-to-day operations. Previously, he was a multi-property general manager for Destination Residences by Hyatt in Snowmass Village and director of operations at The St. Regis Aspen Resort in Aspen.
“This opportunity is a special one for me. I grew up going to Glenwood Hot Springs Resort as a kid. Now, living in the Roaring Fork Valley, I get to enjoy it with my family and friends all the time. The resort is such an iconic property with an amazing history, and I’m really excited to be part of its future,” says Hayes, who earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Colorado and MBA from University of Phoenix.
Glenwood Hot Springs Resort is the oldest continually running business in Glenwood Springs, opening on July 4, 1888. For information, visit www.hotspringspool.com.
