Glenwood Springs, Colorado (Sept. 30, 2024) – Savannah Reynolds is the latest recipient of Glenwood Hot Springs Resort’s Devereux Leadership Award. The award is presented biannually and recognizes exemplary leadership qualities such as problem solving, accountability, effective communication style, team-building and professionalism.
Reynolds began working for the resort in 2022 and currently serves as front desk supervisor for the Lodge at Glenwood Hot Springs Resort. She started out as a front desk agent prior to being named supervisor in May 2023 and in this role has helped the resort integrate with Booking.com as an additional way to accept reservations.
“Savannah is a positive role model and natural mentor. She has successfully trained both front desk and reservations staff and is able to schedule employees according to budget targets and business demands,” says Assistant Lodge Manager Chris Whelpton, who nominated her for the award. “She is always willing to modify her own schedule to come in when we are short staffed, including but not limited to night audit shifts.”
He also cited Reynolds’ exceptional guest service skills. “Savannah’s name continues to be mentioned in guest surveys for great service, and she leads by example.”
The Devereux Leadership Award is named after Walter Devereux, the wealthy mining engineer who had a vision to create an international geothermal spa destination in Glenwood Springs. Under his leadership, he rallied investors and literally rerouted the mighty Colorado River to open the world’s largest hot springs pool on July 4, 1888.
