Celebrate with friends, family and someone special in Colorado’s most magical mountain town
Add a touch of mountain sparkle — and plenty of blissful soaking — to your New Year’s plans this year. If the idea of ringing in 2026 surrounded by snowcapped peaks, festive holiday lights, and soothing mineral hot springs sounds amazing, you’re absolutely right. Glenwood Springs knows how to celebrate, welcoming locals and visitors of all ages for a joyful transition into a brand-new year.
Here is a guide to everything happening at Glenwood Hot Springs Resort and around town on New Years Eve, 2025, and the days surrounding it.
Seasonal Festivities Around Town
The holiday season in Glenwood Springs stretches well beyond a single night. Glenwood Hot Springs Resort is decked out holiday decor and cheer at the pools, Lodge, Hotel 1888, Shop and Athletic Club. Glenwood Vaudeville Revue’s annual Holiday Show delivers music, comedy, and theatrical fun from mid-November to mid-January. Meanwhile, at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, Winter on the Mountain turns the mountaintop into a glowing winter wonderland filled with twinkling lights and festive activities.
Noon Year’s Eve: A Celebration for Kids
On Dec. 31, Glenwood Springs Community Center hosts its beloved Noon Year’s Eve party, perfect for families. From noon to 3 p.m., the building comes alive with music, magicians, jugglers, acrobats, face painters, bounce houses, and a balloon drop at 2:30 p.m. Also lace up ice skates, take a swim and scramble up the climbing wall. Best of all, the event is completely free and open to the public.
New Year’s Eve at Glenwood Hot Springs Resort
Nothing feels quite like welcoming the New Year while soaking in geothermal waters beneath a starry sky. On December 31, the pools open at 9 a.m. and stay open until 1 a.m., giving guests the freedom to float, relax and celebrate well into 2026.

The Grand Pool, the world’s largest hot springs pool, is the heart of the action with lively competitions throughout the night starting at 7 p.m. At Yampah Mineral Baths, the atmosphere shifts to a quieter, adults-only retreat beginning at 5 p.m. Guests can move between warm soaking pools, cold plunges and the cozy fireplace — a favorite spot for conversing and sharing resolutions for the coming year.
The Grill will keep the celebration fueled with a special New Year’s Eve menu served from 5 to 11 p.m., featuring signature favorites like lobster mac and cheese, short rib sliders, bison chili and homestyle chicken noodle soup as well as arugula heirloom salad, turkey club on focaccia and Italian subs. For decadent snacks and desserts, try a charcuterie snack box, stuffed pretzels, tater kegs (crispy jumbo potato tots stuffed with cheddar, bacon and chives), s’mores bites and frosted cupcakes. Kids are sure to love options like pretzel dogs (all-beef hot dogs wrapped in soft pretzels), mac and cheese, and chicken tenders with dipping sauce.
