Our Employee of the Month for July is Emily Neely. Emily is currently our Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor at Glenwood Hot Springs Resort and has been a member of the Glenwood Hot Springs Resort team since July, 2021. Emily is extremely dedicated and puts in 100% effort every day! She has been instrumental in the preparation work for opening Hotel 1888 and many of the projects she took on were self-motivated and ensured we were better prepared. She has been maintaining two housekeeping departments during a very busy summer, despite being short-handed. We appreciate all of the efforts Emily has put in and she has proven over and over she can perform under pressure.
Our Resort Hotel Manager, Loretta Ayala, has this to say about Emily:
“There have been so many times where Emily has exceeded expectations, it is difficult to choose just one. What stands out more to me than anything else, is Emily’s ability and capacity to take on more duties and to help others. Emily will jump in and help any department. She has worked as a lifeguard, covered for maintenance, housekeeping and guest services. What resonates for me, is her willingness to learn and her desire to make us better. Emily really cares about her co-workers, is always positive and wants to ensure our guests have the best possible experience.”
When presented with her award, Emily said, “I really do appreciate everyone and I love working here. Yes, getting Hotel 1888 up and running was a lot of work, but I couldn’t have done it without my team and the other departments helping move items around, and helping with laundry. Thank you everyone for always being so supportive. Work hard, always have a good attitude and be kind to others!”
