Lucy is a Head Lifeguard at Glenwood Hot Springs Resort and has been here since February, 2025. She has quickly become an essential member of our Pool team. While we normally have two Head Lifeguards, Lucy has been working alone since before the end of summer. She has taken on the organization of running all aspects of lifeguarding, designing and holding In-Service trainings and jumping in to help out our guards when short-handed to make sure they are taken care of. She is a motivator and encourages staff to stay attentive. During emergencies, Lucy quietly takes charge, making the guest feel comfortable and cared for, and continually demonstrates the abilities of a young leader.
Our Pool Manager, Taylor Mays says, “Real leadership and character both shines most true during challenging periods of time. I couldn’t be more impressed with how Lucy has stepped up, and lead our Lifeguard team. Side-by-side with staff, always with a can-do, positive attitude. I am proud of the leader Lucy is becoming, and for the quality of safety she is fostering for our guests. Thank you, and keep up the great work.”
When presented with her award, Lucy said “I am truly honored to receive this award among all the incredible workers we have in the company. Being recognized alongside such hardworking and dedicated individuals, means a great deal to me. I am proud to represent the Hot Springs and grateful for the opportunity to serve our community every day. This recognition motivates me to continue giving my best, supporting my team and contributing to the positive environment we strive to create. Thank you for this honor and for believing in the work we do together.”
Thank you, Lucy, for your continued commitment to this Company. We are proud to recognize you as our November Employee of the Month!
