Our Employee of the Month for February is Lily Leyva. Lily is our Lead Pool Maintenance Operator at Glenwood Hot Springs Resort. She started in 2018 and has worked across multiple departments before transferring to Pool Maintenance in September, 2024. She has quickly become one of the true assets to the Company. Lily is a natural leader and demonstrates her leadership skills everyday by directing pool maintenance staff, and working with other departments to accomplish goals and resolve issues across the property. She has learned critical SOP’s and updated several for her department, and continues to improve operations with new ideas and more efficient ways to complete tasks. Lily is also always looking for ways to improve our guest’s experience.
Lily’s supervisor, Brian Ammerman, nominated her and says, “Lily goes above and beyond all facets as Lead Pool Maintenance Operator. She has the ability to trouble shoot problems and clearly communicate on maintenance issues. Lily is an asset on Pool closings. She will stay late to ensure the main pool is drained and the tasks have been completed. She will then be back early to start working on pool close projects, and will again stay until all the jobs are finished. Lily scored a 100% on her CPO exam and has earned the Lead Pool Maintenance Operator position through her dedication and initiative. She has also won Water Drops and Safety Drops for her performance and work.”
When presented with her award, Lily said, “I really appreciate it, thank you! I am thankful for Brian, Scott, and the pool maintenance team for the support, learning opportunities, and adventures along the way. I am proud to work hands on with the Hot Springs to provide clean, relaxing waters to visitors while protecting our natural resources.”
