Since opening on July 4, 1888, Glenwood Hot Springs Resort guests have come to Glenwood for three reasons: to feel better, savor time with friends and family, and enjoy the mountain surroundings and activities. Today, that legacy lives on through the mineral-rich hot spring pools, numerous modern amenities that have been added since 2019, and thoughtfully priced packages that make world-class wellness attainable.

Why Glenwood Hot Springs Resort is the ultimate wellness haven

Step into the world’s largest hot springs pool, the Grand Pool. This pool measures 405 feet long and 100 feet wide at the widest point, is a very pleasant 90-93°F, and is fed continuously by the original, on-site Yampah Source Spring, which generates an impressive 3.5 million gallons of natural mineral water daily. There are lap lanes, a diving board and plenty of room to spread out and relax. The source spring’s name originates from the Ute people, who called these waters “Big Medicine” and for good reason. The 15 minerals found in the water from Yampah Source Spring soothe sore muscles, reduce stress, leave skin feeling soft and refreshed, and much more.

Beyond the Grand Pool, wellness seekers can enjoy several other amazing features at Glenwood Hot Springs Resort:

  • Therapy Pool: For deep relaxation and muscle recovery, this 104°F pool has a ramp for
easy access and stairs that go the full length of two sides that are ideal for lounging. Therapy jet chairs (also called bubble chairs) and power shower clusters provide additional water therapy for soothing muscles and joints.
  • Yampah Mineral Baths: To balance heat therapy with invigorating recovery, Yampah Mineral Baths opened in May 2024 and features five pools of varying temperatures (ranging from 52-104°F), including two cold plunge pools. There also is a cozy fireplace lounging area to gather around, and Yampah Mineral Baths becomes adults only at 5 p.m.
  • Athletic Club: Memberships and day passes to the full-service Athletic Club provide access to modern gym equipment; a full range of classes ranging from yoga and Pilates to cycling and H2O Fit; racquetball/handball courts; and a wet room with indoor hot tub, steam room and dry sauna. Overnight stays at Hotel 1888 include use of the Athletic Club.

Breakfast and unlimited access to the hot springs pools during business hours are included in all overnight stays at Hotel 1888 and the Lodge at Glenwood Hot Springs Resort—this means you get a complete mind and body experience without paying à la carte.

There also is a three-season value season pool pass that excludes summer.
  • Glenwood Hot Springs Resort bundles lodging, breakfast, unlimited pool access during pool hours and frequently an activity in packages.
