Glenwood: The gift that never ends

From the snowiest nights with the stars shining down upon me, to the hottest summer days; when I think of a place I need to get away to, Glenwood Springs ALWAYS COME TO MIND, HEART, SOUL AND BODY.

My parents took me to Glenwood when I was 2 and my sister was 1. We always stayed at the “Knotty Pine Motel”. I learned to float first by relaxing in my little ducky inflatable. I learned to swim a few years later because I was so perfectly enveloped by the healing waters in Glenwood Springs. Through the years, even though having lived in 4 other states, I would come home to Colorado every Summer, visit my Dad and we would go to Glenwood. Once my dad’s company, ( Tax appraisers of Colorado) had their annual conference at the Hotel Colorado and my sister and I did the ” HUKI LAU”- Hawaiian dance on the deck of the pool.

I finally moved back to Colorado in 2003 and I have been to Glenwood every year in the Fall. It is now my “go-to “place for stress relief. Having gone through some really horrible challenges in the last 9 years, I made myself get to Glenwood no matter how stressed and I always left feeling renewed. In my morning meditations, I visit Glenwood EVERY SINGLE morning and can feel the renewing energies present even though not there.

I love Glenwood Hot Springs so much and to her I will always return.
