Doug Hayes
Chief Executive Officer
Doug brings strong hospitality and resort leadership experience, with senior operational roles across the Roaring Fork Valley. Most recently, he served as General Manager of The Hoffmann Hotel and Hoffmann House Restaurant, where he helped lead the hotel’s opening and oversee day-to-day operations. Prior to that, he was Multi-Property General Manager for Destination Residences by Hyatt in Snowmass Village and Director of Operations at the St. Regis Aspen.
Doug also has a deep personal connection to this community. He grew up visiting Glenwood Hot Springs and still enjoys spending time there with family and friends. Outside of work, he enjoys golf, tennis, snowboarding, camping, watching sports, and spending time with his family. His wife teaches at Basalt Elementary, where their children also attend school
Jarrid Hadland
Chief Operating Officer
Jarrid is a native of Glenwood Springs and brings a wealth of experience, a passion for his community and a deep appreciation for the natural wonders of the Colorado mountains. A graduate of Colorado State University's business school, focusing on Real Estate, Jarrid Broadened his skills over 17 years with D.M. Neuman Construction. He played a pivotal role in numerous commercial and residential projects, fostering valued connections with businesses and locals across the valley during his tenure.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Jarrid's personal life is a testament to his adventurous spirit and love for the great outdoors. Whether camping under the starlit sky with family and friends or embarking on adventures through new mountain country with a backpack and tent, he finds solace and inspiration while in the mountains and the rugged beauty of nature.
With Jarrid's leadership and vision, Glenwood Hot Springs Resort is poised to continue its tradition and pursuit of excellence.
Scott Gagnepain
Controller
Scott has been with Glenwood Hot Springs Resort for nine years. He is an asset to our company and he brings more than 15 years of experience as a Controller, formerly of Hotel Jerome in Aspen and he won an award for best flow through year over year with Vail Resorts Hospitality. We appreciate his expertise, contributions and loyalty.
Outside of work, Scott enjoys fishing, skiing, golf, biking and spending time with family and friends.
Loretta Ayala
Resort Hotel Manager
Loretta began her tenure with the Glenwood Hot Springs Resort in 2010, bringing experience from luxury resorts in Aspen and Snowmass, as well as property management company ownership. She is also a Certified Pool Operator (CPO).
Loretta has represented the Resort on the Glenwood Springs Tourism Management Board since 2022, and currently serves as Chair. In 2025, she received the Tourism Champion award for the city of Glenwood Springs.
An asset to our company and our guests, we appreciate her extensive knowledge and experience in the hospitality industry, as well as her loyalty and positive attitude. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, decorating, traveling, and nature.
Patrick OddAn
Shop Manager
Pat joined the Glenwood Hot Springs Resort team in January, 2020. He is an asset to our company and we are lucky to have him on the team. Pat is a natural leader and is an amazing team player, willing to jump in whenever/wherever there is a need. We appreciate his positive energy and enthusiasm.
Pat has lived in Glenwood Springs since 2013. Outside of work, he enjoys snowboarding, hiking and traveling, he’s visited 22 different countries! He likes spending time with his family, friends, and Husky, Stormy.
ALYSON ACKLEY
Resort Sales Manager
Based in Glenwood Springs since 2019, Aly earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska Omaha with a focus on business and strategic planning. Before joining the resort, she was an Advertising Account Executive at the Glenwood Springs Post Independent, and enjoyed helping businesses expand their reach through other outlets like The Aspen Times and Vail Daily.
A lifelong figure skater, Aly is the Lead Instructor for Glenwood Springs Parks & Recreation’s seasonal Learn to Skate program, fostering confidence in skaters of all ages.
Aly treasures being able to ‘soak in’ the beauty and charm of Glenwood Springs. With strong community ties and a passion for building lasting connections, she is dedicated to advancing the legacy of Glenwood Hot Springs Resort.
SARAH ODDAN
Director of Human Resources
Sarah moved to Colorado in 2009 from the state of Michigan. After living in Vail for a few years, she relocated to Glenwood Springs in 2013. Sarah has worked here, at Glenwood Hot Springs Resort, for 3 years as the HR Administrator.
In her free time, you can usually find her hiking up a mountain with her husband, Pat. When they’re not climbing mountains, they are exploring the world. Sarah says, “We have been fortunate to visit over 30 countries so far, and have had the opportunity to experience many unique cultures around the world.” When asked about her recent promotion to Director of HR, Sarah responded, “I am looking forward to a bright future with the Resort, and know that together, we will accomplish great things!"
Taylor Mays
Pool Manager
Meet Charles “Taylor” Mays, Pool Manager at Glenwood Hot Springs Resort in beautiful Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Taylor started with the Resort in early 2015 as a Lifeguard and progressed to Team Lead Lifeguard, Head Lifeguard, Assistant Aquatics Manager, and later Pool Manager as of July 2020.
Taylor comes to the Resort with degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Business and certifications as a Certified Pool Operator, American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor, and American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Trainer. Taylor has also been awarded as a 2017 Star of the Industry through the Colorado Hotel and Lodging Association, and with an American Red Cross Lifesaving Instructor Award since joining the Glenwood Hot Springs Resort.
When Taylor is not at work leading an amazing team, he can be found camping or hunting in Colorado’s wilderness.
Brian Ammerman
Pool Maintenance Manager
Brian has been with Glenwood Hot Springs Resort for over nine years. Brian is an asset to our company. He and his team work behind the scenes to keep the pool, Sopris Splash Zone, pumps and state-of-the-art filtration system impeccably clean, safe and functioning properly every single day. Brian brings 20 years of experience in the aquatics industry including 10 years at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells where he managed the waterpark maintenance department. He is also a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) instructor. We appreciate his expertise, contributions and loyalty.
Outside of work, Brian enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking and spending time with his kids.
Corrie Murray
Food & Beverage Director
Corrie joined Glenwood Hot Springs Resort in October 2025. She is a Glenwood Springs native with 25 plus years in food & beverage, events, and hospitality leadership. Corrie spends time with her husband Arturo, her kids, and their dog – camping, snowboarding, or enjoying sunny days on the river.

Mark Volf
Athletic Club Director
Mark started with Glenwood Hot Springs Resort in March 2008. He is an asset to our company and our members. We appreciate his contributions and loyalty. Mark brings his impressive experience from Snowmass Club and other fitness facilities.
Outside of work, you can find Mark hiking, biking, skiing, fishing, golfing, rafting, camping and watching his son compete in football, soccer and baseball. Mark is a self-proclaimed BBQ Pit Master, he enjoys watching the Broncos and volunteering with river clean-ups, trail maintenance and other outdoor based programs. He also took a group of injured service men and women down the Grand Canyon on a 10 day expedition with Challenge Aspen/Challenge America.
Juan Quintero
Facilities Maintenance Director
Juan joined the Glenwood Hot Springs Resort family in January, 2021 and we are thrilled to have him on the team! Juan has lived in Carbondale 35 years and brings impressive experience and expertise to the resort. He has been a maintenance manager for over 12 years, including his tenure at Hunter Creek Condominiums in Aspen for 7 years.
Outside of work, Juan loves spending time with his wife and four wonderful children and baby boy that arrived March, 2021. Since 2010, Juan has enjoyed volunteering his time coaching soccer for the local soccer clubs and coaching basketball at Roaring Fork High School.
Jody Gruys
Executive Assistant & Business Office Manager
Jody recently joined the Glenwood Hot Springs Resort family in June, 2020 and we are lucky to have her on the team. Jody brings tremendous experience to the team and was most recently employed with Beattie, Houpt & Jarvis, LLP, where she was their legal assistant, legal secretary and bookkeeper for 16 years. She is an asset to our company and our members. We appreciate her positive attitude and enthusiasm.
Outside of work, Jody enjoys spending time outdoors and with her husband, family and friends. She has been a volunteer member with Garfield County Search & Rescue, Inc. for 22 years where she also helps train search and rescue dogs.
